I have started to build a character to then move to animate.

I am box modelling (I’m sorry Joe), this is the process of using a cube to then add topology over the cube to generate the shape. I started following along the lesson with building a 3D Cuphead ( I wont be showing that yet. I have gone from a basic character model to trying to do a more complex reference. I have started with the cube this is what it looks like while building the basic outline of the model.

The basic outline of the model.

I plan on getting the basic look of the character up until the hip zone then extruding from the hip down to create the leg. I am going to use multi cut down the middle to be able to change the basic topology.

The middle line helps to to then bevel both parts of the hips to then beable to extrude to the foot .

this is what the bottum looks like currently.

adding legs

To this.

this is a good place to start adding in extra topology to the mesh to then start adding in the details of the character I am going to making two to three saves.

I have added more topology in the face to get the guild lines down. I have added more in the hip area also and moved edges around in terms.

I have started on the arms this is proving difficult

This character has now been modeled and rigged (quick rig) so that i can start to build animation knowledge

here is what the current end result is
